Make-It-Rigid Stiffener (for handcuffs "Schutzmarke Deutsche Polizei")

A structural upgrade for “Schutzmarke Deutsche Polizei” handcuffs.

The Make-It-Rigid stiffener is designed specifically for German police handcuffs marked “Schutzmarke Deutsche Polizei” (models up to the end of the 1980s). Once installed, it transforms classic chain cuffs into a fixed, rigid configuration with significantly reduced room for movement.

The module consists of two precision-matched parts. The handcuffs are inserted into the lower section, after which the upper section is positioned and secured using the included screws. Integrated centering pins ensure accurate alignment, while embedded nuts provide stable fastening.

Once assembled, the cuffs offer a more defined and controlled restraint feel without compromising core functionality. Cut-outs for the double lock mechanism ensure that full locking capability remains intact.

Please note compatibility:

• Models up to the end of the 1980s: 100% compatible
• Later models: fit, but have some play
• Width of locking area: 60 mm
• Installation requires a standard 3 mm hex key or compatible bit.

The stiffener is designed and produced in our Berlin studio, as part of the AoB Make-It-Rigid system.
