Warranty Policy
Legal warranty (EU/EEA)
If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area (EU/EEA), you benefit from the statutory legal warranty. This means we are liable for any lack of conformity of the goods that exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within the legal period.
For all consumer purchases in the EU/EEA, we apply a warranty period of 2 years from delivery. Where mandatory local law in your country provides a longer period or additional rights, those rights remain unaffected.
During the legally applicable initial period after delivery (in the EU at least the first 12 months), it is presumed that a defect which becomes apparent already existed at the time of delivery, unless we can prove otherwise. After this period, you may be required to show that the defect already existed at the time of delivery in order to rely on the legal warranty.
If your item is faulty, does not match the description, or is not fit for normal use, please contact us. Where required by law, we will repair or replace the item, or provide a refund or price reduction.
Scope of warranty
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use of the product. It does not cover, for example:
- normal wear and tear
- damage caused by improper use, modification, neglect or accident
- damage caused by failure to follow care or cleaning instructions
- damage caused by use with incompatible accessories, cleaning agents or storage conditions
Warranty period
For consumers in the EU/EEA, the warranty period is 2 years from the date of delivery. For other countries, the warranty period is the statutory period applicable in your country of residence, unless we offer a longer period on the product page or in the product documentation. Any additional voluntary warranty (if mentioned for specific items) applies only as described there.
How to make a warranty claim
If you believe your item is defective or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue:
Email: contact@ageofbondage.com
Please include:
- the product name and a description of the problem
- clear photos (and, if helpful, a short video) showing the defect
We may ask you to return the item for inspection. Where required by law, we will bear reasonable return shipping costs for justified warranty claims.
Remedies
If a defect is confirmed, we will, at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law:
- repair the item, or
- replace it with the same or a comparable item, or
- provide a refund or an appropriate price reduction.
Your statutory rights as a consumer (especially under EU/EEA and German consumer and sales law) are not limited by this Warranty Policy and apply in addition to any voluntary warranty we may offer.
International orders (outside the EU/EEA)
For customers outside the EU/EEA, this Warranty Policy applies in addition to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
For international warranty claims:
- you are generally responsible for the cost of sending the item back to us, unless we are required by applicable law to cover these costs or explicitly agree otherwise with you;
- before any return shipment, we may ask you to provide photos or videos of the issue so we can assess whether a return is necessary or if another solution (for example a partial refund or replacement without returning the product) is appropriate.
If a defect is confirmed, we will offer repair, replacement, refund or another appropriate remedy in line with this policy and any applicable local legal requirements.
Your statutory rights as a consumer (in particular under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence) are not limited by this Warranty Policy and apply in addition to any voluntary warranty we may offer.
