We built Remote Connect to solve exactly this problem. It is the newest feature of the Smart Timer V2 for our MagBound® system, developed and engineered by our team in Berlin.

One person wears the restraint connected to the MagBound® magnetic lock. The other controls the session and time duration on the Smart Timer V2 from anywhere in the world. All it takes is a browser and a shared link.

No other self-bondage system offers this. And it changes what long distance bondage can actually feel like.

We developed the first MagBound® magnetic lock in 2015 as a system for self-bondage. The idea was simple: a lock that holds while powered and releases the moment power stops. Fail-safe by design. No keys, no combinations, no second person required.

Over the years, we expanded MagBound® into a full system. Locks, timers, extensions, pillories, furniture mounts - a full range of MagBound® compatible gear. Every component designed in-house at our Berlin studio, every generation refined based on direct feedback from our community.

The Smart Timer was our first step toward digital control: a Wi-Fi-based interface that replaced basic analog timers with browser-based session management. With the V2 update, we took the next step. And that step leads across any distance.

The Smart Timer V2 connects to any MagBound® lock and gives you control through a completely redesigned browser interface, built for phone, tablet, and computer, with dark and bright mode.

Three session modes are available. Lock Mode starts a countdown that cannot be changed once running. No pausing, no adjusting. Once it begins, the only way out is to wait. Random Mode selects a release time within a range you define. You control how long the chosen duration stays hidden, so you can finish your setup before the countdown becomes visible. And then we have Remote Connect as the new innovation.

We designed Remote Connect to be as simple as possible. No apps, no accounts, no technical setup on the partner's side.

The person wearing the restraint generates a personal link through the Smart Timer interface. This link is valid for 24 hours. They share it with their partner through any channel: a message, an email, a link in a chat.

The partner opens it in their browser. That is all. From that moment, they have full control. They can start and stop the timer, increase or decrease the locking duration, and make adjustments in real time.

The person wearing the restraint sees what is happening to their time, but cannot change it. They watch. Their partner decides. Berlin, Tokyo, Buenos Aires: the distance does not matter. The control is real.

Until now, maintaining a physical bondage dynamic across distance required improvisation. Video calls, voice instructions, honor-system rules. All of it works to a degree, but none of it is tangible. None of it is physical. The submissive partner follows instructions, but they could stop at any time. The restraint is symbolic, not real.

Remote Connect changes that equation. The restraint is physical. The lock is real. The time is controlled by someone who is not in the room. The person in the restraint feels the wait, the uncertainty, the dependency on someone else's decision, even if that person is in a different city or a different time zone.

This is not a simulation of a bondage session. It is one. The only difference is geography.

For couples who already practice self-bondage individually, Remote Connect adds a shared layer without requiring anyone to travel. For couples who have never explored bondage but share a power dynamic, it offers a structured, safe way in that does not require advanced knowledge or equipment beyond the MagBound® system - get for example one Ultra Pack and you're all set.

Every MagBound® product is built on one principle: fail-safe release. The lock holds only while powered. If the power source is disconnected, the battery runs out, or anything unexpected happens, the lock releases automatically. This applies equally to Remote Connect sessions.

The person wearing the restraint always retains the ability to disconnect the power source physically. Remote Connect gives the partner control over the timer, not over the lock itself. The fundamental safety architecture that we have refined since 2015 remains unchanged.

The 24-hour link expiration adds another layer. Access is temporary and deliberate. It cannot be extended without generating a new link.

A Remote Connect session requires a MagBound® lock (Basic or Premium), a Smart Timer V2, a power source such as a power bank, a Wi-Fi connection for the Smart Timer, and a restraint of your choice: cuffs, collar, pillory, or any compatible setup from our range. If you are starting from stretch, our Ultra Pack also includes already separated handcuffs to connect to the lock.

If you already own a Smart Timer, the V2 software update adds Remote Connect and all new features to your existing hardware.

While long distance bondage is the most obvious application, Remote Connect opens other possibilities that we find equally interesting.

Partners in the same home can use it to separate the moment of restraint from the moment of control. One person locks in while the other is in a different room, deciding when the session ends.

It also works for scenarios where the controlling partner wants to introduce unpredictability without being physically present during the waiting period. The person in the restraint knows someone is watching their time, but not when or how it will change.

We deliberately kept the partner interface simple. Three controls: start, stop, adjust. Nothing else. The focus stays on the dynamic, not on navigating software.

Remote Connect is an addition, not a replacement. Every self-bondage function of the Smart Timer works exactly as before. Lock Mode, Random Mode, and manual timing are all available without sharing a link or involving anyone else.

We designed the MagBound® system for solo use from the beginning. Remote Connect expands what is possible without changing what already works.

The Smart Timer V2 receives over-the-air software updates automatically. New features and improvements arrive without manual installation. This is our commitment to the system: MagBound® is not a product we release and forget. It is a platform we continue to develop.
