BoundCon 2026 Recap: Behind the Age of Bondage Booth

BoundCon 2026 is a wrap, and we are still glowing from it. For three days, Munich became the meeting point for the international bondage and kink scene, and Age of Bondage was right in the middle of it. Whether you stopped by the booth and want to relive the weekend, or you could not make it and are curious how it felt, here is our recap: the atmosphere, the pieces you loved, the people we met, and what comes next.

What is BoundCon?

For anyone new to it, BoundCon is one of Europe's biggest bondage and fetish conventions, held every year in Munich, Germany. Across a single weekend it gathers gear makers, riggers, performers, creators and enthusiasts from all over the scene, and turns a Munich exhibition hall into something rare: a big, open, judgment-free space where curiosity is the whole point. There are live demonstrations and performances to watch, stands to browse, techniques to learn, and, above all, people to meet.
If you have never been, picture a mix of trade fair and community reunion. You can spend an hour watching a rope demonstration, try on a piece you have only ever seen online, and end up deep in conversation with the person who designed it. That last part is exactly why a maker like our founder Max keeps coming back. Online, we only ever see orders and messages. At BoundCon we get to place self-bondage gear, cuffs and collars directly into the hands of the people who actually use it, watch how they react, answer the real questions, and hear honest feedback face to face. For a young brand, that kind of direct contact is worth more than almost anything, and it shapes what we build next.

Our weekend in Munich, from setup to Sunday

Our weekend began of course before the doors opened. Founder Max started the day before sunrise with the long drive from Berlin, picking up Jamie from the UK on the way, someone many of you already know from our Discord and from last year. We reached the venue late morning, unloaded, and built the booth just in time before BoundCon opened at 14:00, and from that first hour you streamed in.
Even tucked into a fairly quiet corner, you found us, and it genuinely meant a lot to see so many of you recognise the new brand on sight. Several of you came back from last year specifically to add extensions to gear you already own, which is the best compliment a maker can get. It got properly busy at times, sometimes with a short wait, and yet everyone stayed patient and up for a chat. That relaxed, friendly energy is a huge part of what makes this weekend special.
The three days each had their own rhythm. Friday opened strong, a near-constant buzz from start to finish, and the metal pillory quickly became a crowd magnet. Saturday kept up the same steady flow. Sunday was calmer, which finally gave us time to step out from behind the booth, talk shop with other exhibitors and creators, and lay the groundwork for future collaborations across the scene.

What you loved: MagBound®, the Remote Connect Update and Quick Cuffs

The clear stars of the booth were our MagBound® magnetic lock and its new Remote Connect function. They drew constant attention and endless questions, and it was easy to see why: the idea of a lock that holds hands-free and opens on your terms, now controllable remotely, is exactly the kind of thoughtful, safety-first design that people want to see and touch before using it. 
The Quick Cuffs were a favourite too, and seeing the full range of colours and sizes in person clearly helped a lot of you find your match. One wish came through loud and clear across all three days: you want to walk away with your gear in hand, not pre-order it. Message received. We will do our best to stock deeper next time so more of you can take your pieces home on the spot.
Two things made the gear really click for people. The MagBound® demonstrator let you see the lock in action instead of just hearing about it, and the wall display, with every element laid out side by side, turned out to be the fastest way to take in the whole system at a glance. Having Jamie on the booth made a real difference here: his product knowledge and hands-on experience turned a lot of curious glances into proper conversations, while Max was on hand to talk through the bigger picture of how the pieces fit together. 
The most talked-about moment, though, was the timer walk. Delphine went all in, moving through the hall in our MagBound® setup with the timer running and handing out flyers as best she could, given that she was, well, tied up. Not everyone stopped to read, but it turned heads and drew plenty of you over to the booth, where she explained the lock as a genuine power user. 

The people who make BoundCon

What we love most about BoundCon is you. Behind every lock and every conversation is a community, and this year it showed up in force. So many friends and familiar faces from the scene came by the booth, among them @rachel_adams2, @mistressnpup and @Marta_Klinta, plus Mark from SeriousBondage together with @bondagefan70, and many more we were thrilled to see again. Whether you are a long-time customer, a fellow maker, or someone who simply wanted to say hello, these are the moments that make the early start and the long drive worth it. If we talked, laughed, or geeked out over lock mechanics together at the booth: thank you.

Looking ahead to BoundCon 2027

No event is ever perfect, and we are already planning to come back better. Expect more space, a smoother booth, and a deeper stock so more of you can take your pieces home on the day rather than waiting for a pre-order. 
Most of all, BoundCon 2026 reminded us why we do this.
